Live Radio Online gives a chance to listen, anywhere and at anytime. Actually, the actual radio device is taking a backseat because of the ubiquitous computers. Kids and adults, both are hooked to the computer day and night.. This way one can listen even while at work, at home or even when you are mobile(on laptops). One more thing here is important note that in actual radio devices, the problem of bad signal is common, especially while travelling. This irritates the listener and drastically changes his relaxed mood into frustration. But in live radio stations, there is no such problem. Thus, it can prove to be an excellent source of entertainment minus any connectivity problem.
There is an another reason to rejoice as one can escape the huge number of commercials, played regularly on television to captivate your mind. Many live stations only provide pure music without any interference of advertising and promotion. There is a huge number of commercial free stations, one can tune into.
Also, there is unlimited variety of different kinds of music to choose from. It has something for every music lover-from classical, religious, devotional to hip-hop music to latest movie songs. These stations play all the radio stations broadcast worldwide, thus bringing the world closer.
Along with listening to your favorite music, one can also enjoy listening to the various radio jockeys or RJ’s as they are popularly known. They entertain the listeners with interesting anecdotes from our daily lives. They have the ability to make banal incidents appear interesting and spice them up with their witty sense of humour. Also, the continues updates they give on the happenings around the world. Thus, for the listeners there is no dearth of infotainment.

The station is supposedly on 94.3 in the twin falls area but not around Boise and all it has on the current website is just a logo.

Here's a whole slew of stations I've been collecting. There are any number of alternate Internet stations to download or use to listen to their playlists or create your own.
I prefer iTunes, Windows Media Player or AOL because they are big companies that are not going to clutter up your computer (well, with the possible exception of AOL). They are all free and all offer an astounding array of choices.
The following sites will have live broadcasts or allow you to set up a custom station to your taste (below are download sites for internet players with lots of stations):

Or… many stations allow you to listen to their programming via the internet. Most US stations do not allow those outside the country to stream because of royalty concerns. You can find stations at:

Well, darn. That was a bit of a wake up call for me, as a mom. I thought this was my daughter in the future! LOL
No really, she means well. She really really does. It just doesn't across that way.
I felt terrible for you reading that, though. I wouldn't want my kids to ever feel that way. Print this off and sit down and read it to her. Let your heart out. I'm sure she doesn't want you to feel suffocated! She is worried, stressed and trying like a mad woman to protect your future. She knows that all it takes is one bad boy or one bad group of friends and you'll be knocked up while snortin coke. We know the power of influence. We were teens. We had friends that slipped and sometimes we slipped and it's scary! She thinks that since she has made all her mistakes- you shouldn't have to. It sucks- it does, but you can't change her much if she is acting like that and you're a senior! I have teenage relatives that have it worse than you, girl. They don't get to go to the mall with their friends, take calls from boys, or even HAVE a myspace- and they are about 16/17. So, yes… some parents are extreme.
Print this out and read it. Seriously. She will feel bad. I know I would.

No – Yahoo doesn't have any contests like this at all. This is a phishing email – you can tell because athough it says you've won, it doesn't call you by your name at all. It's also full of grammatical errors. Just delete this or click Spam in your Inbox to report it as such.

Your box fan is plugged into the mains. There is almost certainly a radio transmitter fairly close to your new home, it is almost certainly AM, not FM, but it may be a short wave transmitter using AM. The mains cable and probably the mains themselves are acting as an antenna. This is not rare, some household radios used the mains as an antenna, though that often gave a noisy signal.
AM stands for "amplitude modulation". See the Wikipedia article for more details, but AM is easily turned back into an audio signal by any device that is a one-way conductor of electricity. Such one-way conductors might be used in speed controls of fans, or they can be just a poor contact in some part of the fan wiring.
Now I am not sure what you mean by a "box fan". I'm guessing that it is what we call a fan heater in this country, though it might not be. It probably does not matter anyway.
At some point inside the wiring of your fan, maybe in the speed control there is a partially conductive circuit that is rectifying the signal from the radio station and some of this rectified signal, which is now direct current, is making the coil in the motor, or maybe the heater elements vibrate. This vibration is in the audio range and you hear it as sound.
This sort of thing is not all that rare, but it is difficult to diagnose unless you have exact knowledge of where the radio station is and exactly what circuits are used in the fan.
AM and in fact all radio transmitters emit radio waves in magnetic and electrical form. The effective range of the magnetic part of the signal is not great, generally only a few hundred metres, but the effective range of the electrical part is hundreds or thousands of kilometres. Perhaps the mains goes past the transmitter. But if the transmitter is more than a few kilometres away some kind of amplification is usually needed, and your fan probably does not have that. So I am guessing your fan is fairly close to a transmitter.
The length of the fan cable plus some part of the mains may be "tuning" the fan into a particular station. This is because radio waves from a transmitter have a particular wavelength and most professional antennas at shorter wavelengths are cut to suit the wavelength. When you get close to the fan, the combined capacitance and inductance of your body detunes the system and the signal disappears. If you wind most of the fan cable into a coil and try that the sound will more than likely disappear too as that changes the electrical "length" of the cable.
If there is more than one transmitter nearby, it's possible that if you listen very carefully you will hear two stations at once, since your fan is not "tuned" to any particular transmitter.
Most of a conventional AM radio is taken up by tuning to separate stations from each other and amplification to bring in weaker signals. The detection part which turns the signal from radio frequency to sound frequency is the easy bit.

ok 1st of all… don't listen to that friend. cause that wont help you. I've been singing all of my life and I can tell you the biggest part of music is the emotion you put into it and a big part of that is having confidence.
find a voice teacher who will train YOUR voice, not try to train you to sound like someone else. Everyone has their own voice, with a unique range, and not every song fits every singer. If you can't do that, join a choir or chorus (through church/school wherever) that sings songs written in parts (usually four) and sing alto. (I'm a soprano with an Ok-ish lower range and I LOVE singing alto parts. they add so much to a piece)
Also, SING. I annoy so many people because i am always singing. it dosent matter if you dont sound exactly like the artist. sing the notes in your range. Find artists whos ranges are similar to yours. If your embarrased to sing infront of people, turn on the radio/iPod when you're home alone and go crazy. Practice is important if you ever want to train your voice.
I unfortunately know nothing about dance. but look for a good studio that has lessons year round, or find a better, more varied class.
